UCI Conference Center Posting Guidelines
Printed material referring to an event, activity, or service that is not conducted for private business or personal gain may be posted in designated locations at the UCI Conference Center. Materials that violate University guidelines/policies will not be approved for display. All postings must comply with UC Irvine posting policy.
In accordance with campus policy, student organizations, employee organizations, UC departments, and external clients may not post flyers/Ads in the Conference Center on walls, windows or doors. However, Student Center & Event Services staff may post notifications in these areas for various purposes, including but not limited to building maintenance, safety issues and building closures. The hanging of banners on walls and from ceilings is permitted in conference rooms as part of event décor. Please note that approval from Student Center & Event Services is required before any banners may be hung. For safety reasons, all banners must be professionally created and must be hung by Student Center & Event Services staff as part of the event setup. Banners will be removed upon the conclusion of the associated event. Student Center & Event Services print services can assist you with your banner needs. Talk to your Event Specialist for details.
PostersStudent organizations, UC departments, and external clients may request to display mounted posters advertising campus events, public service announcements, and University activities/programs on easel in hallway areas around the Student Center. Permission must be obtained in advance from Student Center & Event Services. Posters may be displayed for a maximum of two weeks, unless an exception is granted by the Director – Student Center & Event Services or their designee. Posters should be 24” × 36” in size; however, other sizes may be approved. Applicable fees will apply for easel rentals. Student Center & Event Services print services can assist you with your poster needs. Talk to your Event Specialist for details.
Student Center and Event Services manages two kiosks with limited space to display posters. Kiosk locations are as follows:
- Near the ATMs on the Student Center Terrace
- Outside of the Center near the Doheny Lounge entryway
Poster dimensions are 37.25” (width) × 43.75” (length). In general, these kiosks are for Student Center & Event Services use only; however, on a limited basis, the kiosks may be used to advertise high profile events occurring within The Center, events/programs with a campuswide impact, or events/programs that are student-oriented. The Student Center is an open and accessible building and therefore does not have the ability to police or protect printed materials. Student Center & Event Services is not responsible for replacing damaged, missing or stolen items. As storage space within The Center is limited, printed materials not claimed by the client within 48 hours of the removal date may be recycled.
